The Casselly family is a seven-generation circus dynasty and a devoted master of working with animals, passing down exceptional expertise from one generation to the next. They have enchanted audiences worldwide, with animals and trainers performing the most spectacular and daring feats in perfect harmony. Today the family owns Kimba Park in Töltéstava, while the youngest members continue to tour the world’s circuses, collecting awards, accolades and international success. Their carefully crafted llama act is presented in the ring of the Capital Circus of Budapest by the talented circus artist Tobias Schandel.

ANATOLY ANKERMAN

Clown – Israel

Clown Anatoli Akerman is one of the most intuitive figures in comic performance. He first stepped on stage at the age of six, inspired by his uncle, the Russian mime artist Nathan Silbermann. From childhood he studied mime, acting and juggling, and in 1990 he won the grand prize at the Jaffa International Mime Festival. At that moment he knew: clowning would be his life. He later joined the creative team of Cirque du Soleil, performing as a clown in the productions KÀ (Las Vegas) and ZED (Tokyo). He has appeared with the world-famous Circus Roncalli, and audiences also saw him in Tim Burton’s film Dumbo. Akerman has enjoyed success on many of the world’s great stages, including the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Tokyo Disney Resort, Wintergarten Varieté in Berlin and Friedrichsbau Varieté in Stuttgart. Now he brings his unmistakable blend of poetry, humour and human warmth to the ring of the 16th Budapest International Circus Festival.

GABRIELA MOURA BRENTAN

Aerial boat – Brasil

Gabriela, a Brazilian artist twice honoured as her country’s “Acrobat of the Year”, shines not only in classical acrobatic and aerial disciplines. Giving free rein to her imagination and innovative spirit, she has created her own signature apparatus: the aerial boat. Hungarian audiences first encountered this pioneering act in our production Mother Holle at the Capital Circus of Budapest. Now she invites us to cross the wild waters of imagination together aboard this extraordinary, never-before-seen vessel.

DEVIN DE BIANCHI

Handstand – Italy

Born and raised in the circus, Devin De Bianchi is a descendant of the Italian Vulcanelli and De Bianchi dynasties. He began his artistic career at the age of ten and has since become known as a master of hand-balancing. He has performed with numerous renowned circus companies, theatre productions, amusement parks and on cruise ships. At twenty-five he joined the legendary Cirque du Soleil, presenting his stunning handstand number in the show OVO. After the pandemic he became a member of the German Circus Charles Knie, where he continues to perform today.

Swing pole – Ukraine

Elegance and strength meet in Katerina’s art: for her, the desire to fly and to be free knows no boundaries, and nothing is impossible. Over more than twenty-five years, this internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist has captivated audiences around the globe with her aerial hoop performances. In her search for new challenges, and thanks to her creativity, a unique act was born: a fusion of aerial pole and a small hoop, reimagining traditional aerial-hoop elements in a modern, dynamic form. The innovative choreography combines feminine subtlety, technical precision and physical power – all at dizzying heights. At the 16th Budapest International Circus Festival, Katerina invites the audience into this special world: a place where freedom is born in mid-air, and where every movement celebrates the beauty of going beyond human limits.

AERIAL ADAGIO

Duo hammock – Switzerland

Thanks to her background in dance, Janine brings a special elegance into the air. She appeared as a soloist in Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA, and since then has shown her artistry on stages and in circus rings across the globe. Every movement she makes is infused with grace and assurance. Fabien is the strength and anchor of the duo. His exceptional physical abilities and career as an acrobatic dancer – including a world championship silver medal in acrobatic rock’n’roll – give their shared act a solid foundation. His precision, technique and stage presence perfectly complement Janine’s airy style. Both are acclaimed artists in their own right, but the real magic begins when they rise into the air together. Their act, Aerial Adagio, is an intimate yet spectacular dance between two people – a story of trust, intensity of connection and deep harmony. Janine and Fabien have appeared together in several renowned productions, including Salto Natale and Monti’s Variété. In their performances, strength and delicacy, passion and refinement stand side by side. It is no surprise that they are regarded as one of the leading pairs in the art of aerial adagio.

KELLY FOLCO

Unicycle – Italy

Italian circus artist Kelly Folco has conquered Europe’s circuses with her distinctive elegance, technical mastery, extraordinary sense of balance and the refined aesthetics of her choreography. Immersed in the circus world since the age of five, she began her training at the Lucetto Macaggi school, then perfected her unicycle technique under the guidance of Vlastick Valla. At the Charivary Circus Academy in Madrid she also received high-level aerial training, while studying fine arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Over the course of her career she has toured almost all of Europe, performing in Spain, Switzerland, Greece, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Romania, Denmark and Italy, among others. Kelly is not only an outstanding aerialist and juggler, but also a ringmistress and clown. She speaks several languages, and with her charismatic presence she creates a unique artistic universe in the ring.

GIULIA GIONA

Horse act - Italy

Giulia Giona is the third-generation heir to a long-standing equestrian dynasty. She grew up among horses, and from childhood she absorbed the passion and commitment that have shaped her family’s tradition for decades. Her professional path is impressive on an international scale. In 2012 she graduated from the prestigious Verona Circus Academy, and between 2015 and 2025 she became one of the key performers in Europe’s largest equestrian show productions as a featured artist with Apassionata–Cavalluna. In 2025 she reached a new milestone when she won a silver prize at the International Circus Festival of Latina – marking her ceremonious debut on the international circus stage.

DUO UP’N DOWN

Chinese pole - France & Switzerland

Laurine Dumora and Dimitri Terribilini, from France and Switzerland, together form Duo Up’n’Down. Both graduated from the École de cirque de Québec (Canada) in June 2022. At the start of their careers they worked with a variety of companies, including Flip Fabrique, Haut-Vol, Impro Cirque, Cirque La Compagnie, Circus Arnardo, Cirque Starlight and O’Chap. They created their own spectacular Chinese pole duo, with which they have performed on the stage of GOP Varieté and recently completed a tour with Circus Monti. In June 2024 they were awarded the Grand Prix of the Audience at the NewComerShow festival in Leipzig. Laurine and Dimitri are delighted to share their energetic and captivating act with the audience of the Budapest International Circus Festival.

ÉPICENTRE

Oscillating pole - Canada

Épicentre is a breathtaking duo that reveals the seemingly endless possibilities of the oscillating pole. This innovative circus apparatus was invented by Yohann Trépanier; its particular magic lies in the way the pole appears to lose its weight, gently floating with the artists. Created in autumn 2024, the duo explores the essence of human connection. Their shared artistic journey highlights the power of cooperation, the beauty of fragility and strikingly new acrobatic perspectives. In their choreography they tell the story of two people travelling through a storm: stability falters, familiar order dissolves, and everything finally resolves in a poetic waltz. With its fresh, boundary-pushing approach, Épicentre is poised to become one of the shaping forces of circus art in the years ahead.

GABRIEL DEL’AQUA

Handstand - Italy

Gabriel Dell’Acqua was born in 2010 in Cosenza, Italy. By the age of five he was already training in the family’s water circus, and at eight he made his debut in the ring. Still very young, he has already proved himself at numerous leading international festivals: in 2020 he won gold both in Latina and in Sochi. In 2021 he appeared with Circus Medrano, in 2022 at the Wiesbaden Circus Festival (where he received another gold medal) and with Circus Arbell. In 2023/24 he performed with Rossi Circus in Spain, in 2024 at the Latina Talent Festival, in 2025 with Circus Arena in Denmark, and in 2025/26 with Circus Probst in Germany and the Christmas Circus Den Haag in the Netherlands.

MARIA SARACH

Handstand - RUSSIA

With her outstanding talent and imaginative vision, Maria Sarach is one of the driving forces of a new era in live performance. In a unique achievement, she has won prizes at international circus festivals with three different handstand acts. Her performances are immersive, inventive visual experiences in which movement itself becomes art. A multi-award-winning artist, she proves again and again that hand-balancing is not only a technical feat, but also a striking, contemporary form of expression. Over the course of her career she has worked with such prestigious companies as Cirque du Soleil, Circus Roncalli, Tigerpalast, Wereldkerstcircus Carré and the productions of illusionist Hans Klok.

ALIEV INFINITY

Perch - Uzbekistan

The Aliev family is a long-established circus dynasty, representing Tajik and Uzbek culture through their artistry. In 2024 they were taken under the wing of Kristina Vorobeva, Monte Carlo gold medallist and member of the world-famous Sky Angels. Together they formed a young troupe of six gifted and passionate performers: Aliev Infinity. This autumn their dream came true when they celebrated the world premiere of their breathtaking perch number in the legendary Capital Circus of Budapest.

NICOLS CROSSBOWS

Crossbow - Spain

Both Kimberly Zavatta and Nicol Nicols were born into world-famous circus dynasties. Kimberly represents the seventh generation of the Zavatta family, who have devoted their lives to entertainment since 1815, while Nicol belongs to the fourth generation of the Spanish Papadopoulos family. They married in Tarragona in 2023 and, along with their lives, joined their artistic paths. From this partnership their shared act, Nicols Crossbows, was born – blending Kimberly’s aerial elegance with Nicol’s razor-sharp aim. In this astonishing number, passion, trust, technical precision and inner harmony come together to tell the story of their love – with arrows, in mid-air. In 2025 they set a Guinness World Record with one of their breathtaking crossbow-acrobatics stunts and won a bronze medal at the Prague International Circus Festival, where they also received an official invitation to the 16th Budapest International Circus Festival.

UNIQUM

Hand voltige - Russia

This remarkable four-man hand voltige troupe has earned international recognition in recent years for its extraordinary strength and precision. Their professional preparation is guided by Vitaly Shulga, while the visual impact and harmony of movement are shaped by world-renowned choreographer Dmitry Chernov. The group’s artistic director, manager and mentor is Alexander Ogurtsov, who has played a key role in UNIQUM’s success at major circus festivals around the world. Over the years, their astounding achievements have been rewarded with numerous prestigious prizes. It is no coincidence: their gravity-defying balances and towering lifts, which push the limits of human capability, are greeted with thunderous applause wherever they perform.

DUO COSTACHE

Perch - Romania

A true circus couple, bound together by art, strength and perseverance, Duo Costache have been performing side by side for twenty years. The husband is a member of the thirteenth generation of a circus family and first entered the ring as a juggler; at eighteen he discovered his true calling on the trapeze and the perch. Today they present both disciplines together as official artists of the Metropolitan Circus of Bucharest. Their exceptional achievements have brought them worldwide renown: they are twenty-time Guinness World Record holders.

DUO SABAWIAN

Adagio - Ethiopia

Duo Sabawiyan is a highly energetic and visually striking adagio duo from Mekelle, Ethiopia. The two artists were brought together more than a decade ago by the Circus Mekelle school, where their talent quickly set them apart from their peers. Their performances are a powerful blend of traditional circus discipline and modern stage aesthetics: impressive strength elements, flawless balance figures and a distinctive presence define their artistic world. Their dynamic, story-driven choreographies reveal not only their technical brilliance but also their creative, authorial vision. Duo Sabawiyan are sought-after performers in large-scale seasonal productions and in recent years have impressed audiences in many countries, including Spain, Italy and on international cruise ships. Among their international achievements, the bronze medal at the 3rd International Salieri Circus Awards stands out as a significant professional honour

XISHUI COUNTY ACROBATIC TROUPE

Antipod - China

The Xishui County Acrobatic Troupe has performed in every province of China and in sixteen countries around the world, sharing the wonders of circus art with audiences everywhere. They have distinguished themselves as prizewinners at numerous prestigious circus festivals and have appeared in many of the world’s leading circuses. In 2023 they reached a new milestone: they opened their own venue, the Xishui Acrobatics Theatre, often described as “the most beautiful cultural space in the Yangtze River Delta”. A museum and an adventure park soon followed. Their development is exemplary; today the name Xishui County Acrobatic Troupe has become a true brand in the world of circus arts. In Budapest they bring the magic of traditional Chinese circus, including a finely tuned antipod act that demands absolute precision and balance.

GRUPPA ZAKHVATA

Clown - Russia

Anvar and Kolya, who have worked together for more than thirty years, are among the leading figures of contemporary Russian clowning. They combine classic circus traditions with modern rhythms, dance, acrobatics and the pulse of show entertainment. As ring clowns of the Great Moscow Circus they have been performing continuously since 2012. They are prizewinners at several prestigious festivals, including “Idol”, and regular guests at international events and television productions. Their vibrant, direct and visually bold clown reprises never fail to sweep the audience along.

SVETLANA FEDIANINA

Double rope - Russia

Svetlana Fedianina is one of the young jewels of Russian circus art. With experience well beyond her years and dazzling natural talent, she is winning over circus rings around the world. She rules the air like a queen, as if she had been born there: with graceful, weightless movements she slices through space, playfully handling the ropes stretched high above the ground.

LUXOR GROUP

Juggler - Russia

Luxor Group is one of the very few troupes in the world specialising in group aerial juggling. Their performances blend high-speed club and ring work, top-level power acrobatics and striking LED effects to create a truly distinctive style. Each scene is built around character, rhythm and storytelling, transforming complex technique into a stage language full of emotion and expression. Luxor Group brings precision, drive and contemporary visual flair to the ring, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience for the audience.

THOMAS LACEY

Dog act - United Kingdom

Thomas Lacey comes from an English circus family: his father and brothers also perform with animals, so the circus has been his natural environment since childhood. At eighteen he left England to continue his career independently across Europe. In recent years he has mainly worked with lions, enchanting audiences in many countries with his remarkable skills as an animal trainer. Over the past three years dogs have become his principal partners, and with them he has developed a very special bond. His acts radiate affection, discipline and playfulness all at once. Thomas Lacey weaves together the traditions of classical circus and the sensitivity of contemporary performance, offering audiences a distinctive and memorable experience at the 16th Budapest International Circus Festival.

CHINA NATIONAL ACROBATIC TROUPE

Hoop diving - China

Founded in 1950 in Beijing, the China National Acrobatic Troupe has gone on to win awards at countless international circus festivals and competitions, including gold medals at the circus festivals of Budapest, Monte Carlo, Russia, Poland and Paris. Since 1994 the company has also been creating large-scale acrobatic shows. The troupe tours the world almost without pause, and many of its acts have been incorporated into leading European circus productions. Using the traditional art of “hoop diving” as its medium, the act artistically brings this timeless “chase” to life through continuous running, leaping, and passing through rings of varying heights. From agile solo passes to synchronized multi-ring somersaults, each breakthrough in acrobatic trick not only demonstrates the artists’ exceptional body control but also reflects the human spirit of self-transcendence and the courage to challenge limits. The fluid movement of the artists through the hoops is both a display of tricks mastery and a visual metaphor of a universal human spirit—the relentless pursuit of a goal, where the journey itself holds eternal value, regardless of the outcome.

FLYING TABARES

Fliegende - Argentina and the USA

The story of Flying Tabares began almost forty years ago in Argentina, when Nelson Tabares and his family founded the legendary flying trapeze troupe. Over the decades they have become one of the defining and most successful flying trapeze groups in the circus world. Among the high points of their career is the art form’s greatest honour: the Golden Clown of the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, awarded to them in 2006. Since then they have worked with Circus Krone, appeared at the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione in Paris, performed in Cirque du Soleil shows and taken part in productions of Circus Vargas. In 2023 they enjoyed further major success at the International Circus Festival of Latina, where their breathtaking performance was honoured with a silver prize. Flying Tabares now comes to Hungary for the first time, to dazzle the audience of the 16th Budapest International Circus Festival with their astonishing flights, unrivalled precision and remarkable team unity.

VENICE CARNIVAL

Trampoline - Russia

The story of Venice Carnival began in 2017, when their mentor Vladimir Georgievsky decided to revive the legendary act he had performed since 1990. After four years of work, a company came together from performers drawn from different parts of the country and from varied training backgrounds, bringing fresh energy and a modern palette to a classic high-wire number. In 2022 they were invited to the prestigious Gold Elephant International Circus Festival in Girona, where they received a silver prize and the Special Prize of Cirque du Soleil. Hungarian audiences already had the chance to marvel at them in the summer of 2025 in the show SPLASH!, where they enjoyed enormous success.

ART OF FREEDOM

Hand to hand - Ukraine

Art of Freedom is a hand-to-hand acrobatic duo of two seasoned professionals who know exactly how to captivate an audience. For many years they lived and worked abroad, touring across numerous countries and earning acclaim for their distinctive performances. Now they arrive at the 16th Budapest International Circus Festival with one of their signature creations: the act Art of Freedom. In their performance, remarkable flexibility meets seemingly effortless lightness. If you enjoy the beauty and clarity of pure movement, this duo is the perfect choice: whenever they step on stage, there is a hint of mystery and fairy-tale magic in the air. They draw the audience in, stir and uplift them, and fill the entire space with energy and positive emotion. Art of Freedom is more than an acrobatic dance – it is a meeting of passion, gentleness and sensuality. Dazzling acrobatic elements and finely shaped gestures are woven together in perfect balance, creating a genuine sense of artistic freedom, both in the air and on the stage.

SÁRA NAGYHEGYI

HAIR HANGING - HUNGARY

Nagyhegyi Sára is a student at the Hungarian Baross Imre Artists’ Training School in Budapest. After being trained as an artiste for six years she graduated and would like to continue working with her aerial hoop, will take her professional exam next May. In 2020 her act was in the opening of the Budapest International Circus Festival. In 2021 she was in the “cirque danse” production “Crystal” by the Recirquelű, then performed in prestigious circuses such as Cirque Imagine in Lyon. In 2022, she won a silver award and two special prizes at the European Youth Circus Festival in Wiesbaden. Her teacher and choreographer for the past five years is Tünde Vincze.

LÉNÁRD MATOS & DANIELLA TEIBLER

UNICYCLE - HUNGARY

On one wheel, both of them. Lénárd Matos and Daniella Teibler perform a classic circus jig dressed in a modern costume. Since 2019, they have been combining street freestyle with circus arts in their unicycle act. They have performed in Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Ireland and other countries. Their acrobatic jumps will amaze everyone.

DUO FOSSETT

HANGING PERCHE - HUNGARY

Noémi Krich was born in Hungary, and after graduating from the Baross Imre Artists' Training School in Budapest, she started her career as an artist in zhe UK. It was there that she met her partner, with whom she is a couple not only in the air but also in real life. John Laci Fossett is from a multi-generational English circus family on his father's side, and has known since childhood that he would follow in his family's footsteps. The Duo Fossett and their hanging perche act have previously been seen here, in the Capital Circus of Budapest in the shows “Fairy Dance - Women Magic” (2020) and “Dynasties” (2021).

ALFONS DONNERT

DIABOLO - HUNGARY

Alfons Donnert is the eighth generation of the legendary Donnert circus dynasty, the youngest of five brothers. He has been assisting in his family's equestrian act from an early age, and in 2017, while working at Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione, he met the world-famous diabolo artist Pierre Marchand. The two became friends and Marchand gave him a diabolo set as a gift, teaching him the basics. From then on, Alfons has been practising every day with great passion.

EQUESTRIAN JUGGLER - HUNGARY

Traveling circuses and members of circus dynasties with their strong traditions form one of the cornerstones of Hungarian Circus Art. The versatile Henrik Ádám not only tingles the audience’s nerves with his dizzying high-wire production, but also displays the loving treatment with which he handles his ponies and horses in the ring. In 2022, they were featured in the Christmas show "Which one of the 9?".

FLYING WEISS JUNIOR

FLIEGENDE - HUNGARY

The Weiss Junior fliegende group was founded in 2005. They chose their grandfather's surname as the group's name, in gratitude for all the support they received from him and their parents. The group started their career with a combination of board and swing acts. The brothers had a shared dream of creating a fliegende act, which they had the opportunity to do during a tour in Italy. There they met Zsuzsanna's future husband, Fabio Pereira Paraizo. The breathtaking act of the only Hungarian fliegende group made up of family members is a tribute to mutual trust and confidence. One of the specialities of the performance is the blindfolded triple somersault. They have worked in Ireland's first circus, Tom Duffy's Circus, in Austria at Circus Louis Knie, in Italy at Lídia Togni Circus and in Hungary at the Hungarian National Circus and the Capital Circus of Budapest. In 2022, they worked with world-famous film producer Nani Moretti, where they acted as the Hungarian fligende group in the highly successful and multi-award winning film “Il Sol Dell'Avvenire”. The group currently consists of six members, the youngest of whom is only eight years old - which is unique in Europe!

HENRIK ÁDÁM

HIGH WIRE - HUNGARY

A member of the latest generation of the Adam’s circus dynasty, the multi-talented Henrik Adam will be thrilling audiences with his dizzying high-wire act. As a proof of his talent, in 2022 he appeared in the Capital Circus of Budapest’s Christmas show "Which of the 9?" and in 2023 he won one of the gold prizes at the Ukrainian “Yaskrava Arena Dnipra” international children's circus festival.

YASSER ABDEL HAMID

CHINESE POLE - HUNGARY

Yaser Abdel Hamid is a student at the Baross Imre Artists’ Training School in Budapest. He began his studies six years ago and started practising with the Chinese pole five years ago, although he has tried his skills in several genres. Last year, he passed his final exam with an excellent score in a romantic duo act. For the Budapest International Circus Festival, he has prepared a solo act about a strong, hard-working man whose efforts are worthless if he cannot share his life with his partner, a woman. In the young artist's performance, choreographed by Roland Csonka, the Chinese pole symbolizes the WOMAN. Beáta Ivu-Murai and István Berkes were his teachers.

REGINA RUSSNÁK

STRAPS - HUNGARY

Regina Russnák was a student of the Imre Baross Artists’ Training School in Budapest. She has been involved in the art of performing and circus arts for seven years, and has also performed in his parents' lifting act. At the Artists' School, she specialised in aerial gymnastics, which has already won her considerable professional recognition. In 2021, she won the Most Successful Exam Production Award at the Artists’ School and the Gold Award at the 11th Dnipro International Youth Circus Festival, and in 2022 she also won the Young Star of the Stage in Hungary.

PAL'S COMPAGNIE

TEETERBOARD - HUNGARY

Olivér Buti and András Jagudits studied for seven and five years respectively at the Baross Imre Artists' Training School in Budapest, where they became lovers of Korean teeterboard. Their goal was to get better every day and show that it is possible to dream big. The duo, who successfully graduated from the Artists' Training School last year, created a humorous production based on absolute confidence, with Tibor Kőmives as their professional master and Roland Csonka as their choreographer. Their first major competition was the Dnipro Youth Circus Festival, where they won the gold medal and a special prize.

FLYING CABALLERO

FLIEGENDE - MEXICO – USA

The legendary Caballero Family, with over a hundred years of circus history, are world renowned as being one of the best Trapeze Families in the world by achieving many records, and also by owning two different touring circuses in the USA. In recent decades, many historic moments and rare records have been linked to the names of various family members and ancestors. The new generation of the Flying Caballero were invited to participate at the 11th International Circus Festival in Girona (2023), and they won the Golden Elephant by making history once again by presenting for the first time in circus history three quadruples somersaults by three different flyers in the same show and to the same catcher.

KAI CAO

JUGGLER – CHINA

Kai Cao belongs to the legendary China National Acrobatic Troupe, but he has also a standing as a solo artist. He started juggling as an eight-year-old little boy. He won different awards and applause from the audience due to his special acrobatic performance of combining tapping dance with ball bouncing. The world record for bounce juggling 9 balls is 1 minute and 7 seconds by him. "If you can endure the hard times, you will view the difficulties as nothing when you look back." – told once, as an ars poetica of his art.

BAMBOOK

HANGING PERCHE - RUSSIA

Vladimir Serov and Elizaveta Demidova won the gold medal in the children's category of the ARTIST International Circus Festival 2023, held for the first time at the Nikulin Circus in Moscow, with their hanging perche performance „Bamboo Act”. In addition to the gold prize, the students of the Circus School of the Kazan State Circus also received a special prize from the Capital Circus of Budapest: an invitation to the 2024 Budapest International Circus Festival.

CYR WHEEL – USA

Philippe Renaud graduated in Montreal in 2007 in hand-to-hand, a number that won him a bronze at the Cirque de Demain festival of 2009. Shannon started her career as an aerialist, she won the journalist’s award in Latina (2010), and the Bronze Lion in Wuqiao (2011). They started working together in 2014 to create a duo in the cyr wheel. ANDREI POGORELOV

WHEEL OF DEATH – RUSSIA

Andrey Pogorelov is a former athlete, master of sports in trampoline jumping. He has been working in the circus for 15 years, during which time he has mastered several genre in acrobatics and balancing act. Six years ago he discovered a new genre of the "wheel of courage", since then he has achieved high results. Today he is the only performer in the world of a back somersault with a 360 turn on the outer part of the wheel. In 2023 he took part in the international circus festival Echo of Asia where won a silver award.

RUSLAN KALACHEVSKY

HANDSTAND – UKRAIN

Ruslan Kalachevskyi's father was a circus performer, but he never planned to connect his life with circus arts. Until, at the age of 15, he was completely impressed by the balancing acts. In 2021 he graduated at the Dnipropetrovsk College for Culture and Arts. From that day he has continued to improve and develop his skills every day. The next two years he worked and participated in different festivals in Ukraine, traveled around Poland, worked in Germany, Turkey and Portugal.

ASYMMETRICAL STRAPS – FRANCE

Born in Paris, Marceau Bidal started the circus at the age of 4 at the Cherche-Trouve circus school in Cergy. ​He has always been attracted to working in stage management, and in 2019, obtained his communications degree from the University of Paris to work as a producer for shows and events. He tried different circus disciplines before specializing in aerial straps. It was then, that his stage calling finally led him to join the Academy of Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg (Netherlands). After a year, he joined the National Circus School of Montreal, graduated in June 2023. ​During his years at ENC, Marceau created and developed a new aerial apparatus: Asymmetrical Straps.

JUGGLER – ITALI - SPAIN

For the first time in Hungary we are attempting to introduce a genre that is hardly seen in circuses, shaker cups juggling, by Spanish-Italian artist Bruno Macaggi, selected as best young Spanish artist 2016. Bruno started practicing at the age of 8. His family has a great success with two circuses in Spain, Gran Circo Wonderland and Gran Circo WOW. There are just two jugglers in the world who can play with 12 shaker cups, and Bruno it’s one of them.

ANTON MIKHEEV

STRAPS - RUSSIA

Anton Mikheev was born in Moscow, in 1998. His parents were part of the Mikheev Trio, a famous Russian perch act. His mother, Margarita (Rita) had been an aerialist, she is one of the few women to have completed a quadruple somersault on the flying trapeze. Anton was trained in aerial straps at Circus Nikulin in Moscow by Gennadiy Totukhov, a former aerialist. He made his professional debut with his strap act at Circus Nikulin in 2014. That same year, he won a Gold Medal at the European Youth Circus Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany, and in 2015, the Silver Award at the New Generation Festival in Monte Carlo. Soon after, he was featured on the French television hit variety show, Patrick Sebastien's Le plus grand cabaret du monde. A special feature of his act is that he also plays with a ball in the air, balancing and doing tricks.

Extreme agility has become a trademark of Mongolian circus performers, which they showcase in their group handstand act at the Capital Circus of Budapest. The performance, performed in Mongolian costume and to music, not only demonstrates the art of hand balancing on thin sticks, but also the art of arcing on their hands. In 2023, they performed in the show “Spirit of Steppe” in the Capital Circus of Budapest.
